Cooking is a universal language that needs no translation, but our sfogline in addition to Bolognese dialect speak English and French, so they can teach the most authentic tradition and art of fresh pasta to anyone who wants to learn about Bologna through its most famous food.

We are in the heart of the historic center, in a prime location for those who want to combine sightseeing with a high-level culinary experience. We offer the possibility of organizing customized courses and events both in Italian and in language (English – French) for small or large groups, combining our services at your convenience, for a 360° Portici Experience.

You can stay at the Hotel I Portici within easy walking distance along Via Indipendenza, one of the city’s main shopping streets, comfortably reach the historic center for a cultural visit, and end at the Academy with a cooking experience to take with you after your trip is over.  For an aperitif? There is no better location than our beautiful terrace overlooking the Two Towers.

LOCATION

Portici Academy is located on the third floor of Palazzo Bega, a historic building in the downtown area of Bologna, overlooking the Two Towers. From our windows you can enjoy a unique view of the city while enjoying a cooking class or participating in one of our Cooking Team Building events.
The school consists of two classrooms, one dedicated to cooking and the other ideal for meetings or cafeteria events. The cooking classroom has a large central kitchen island and 18 spacious stations that are set up according to the course being taught.

Participants can then work individually and follow the instructor’s step-by-step directions during our cooking classes or in pairs as we are wont to do in Cooking Team Building to encourage teamwork.

On the lower floors you will also find our Bottega Portici Due Torri restaurant, which specializes in fresh rolling-pin pasta made daily by the sfogline. It is a casual food restaurant that offers local dishes in a contemporary, practical and sustainable way.

When you finish your event at the Academy, you can pair it with lunch or an aperitif, in the comfort of the Bottega.
